Desktop computers as the name suggests are those computers which require desk and space and that is the reason why they can be used at a single location only. Desktop computers have CPU, keyword, and mouse apart from the computer monitor and that is the reason why they cannot be carried or transferred easily from one place to another. The biggest limitation of desktop is that it cannot be carried from one place to another easily as it is bulky and requires power outlet unlike laptops which can be carried anywhere and hence if you are one of those people who travel frequently and requires computer wherever you go then you should not even think about purchasing the desktop computers.

Noisy and Requires Space

Another con of desktop computer is that the CPU produces loss of noise and if you are one of those who like to work in a silent environment than desktops are not your cup of tea. Besides they require a lot of space as monitor and CPU unit both are different in desktop computers and therefore you need to have separate computer table and space so that desktop can be put there.

Lack of Style and Plenty of Cables

Another drawback of desktops is that they are not as stylish and sleek as laptops which results in youngsters avoiding desktops in favor of laptops. Besides desktop computers have a lot of cables attached to it which does not look good and therefore prove to be another negative as far as desktops are concerned.
